Double eyelid incisional method is recommended for patients with thick skin, muscle, and fat in the eyelids.

Incision double eyelid method starts by designing the double eyelid lines, making the incisions on the eyelids, removing muscle and fat, and then tying down the muscle and skin to fixate them. Double eyelid permanent method is better for candidates who have droopy skin or have excess fat on the eyelids.

TREATMENT PROCEDURE

The procedure takes about 30-45 minutes. Firstly, doctor will apply a local anesthetic agent to the eye areas. It will begin to feel numb, there is no pain during the procedure. The stitches are carefully and meticulously placed according to the preoperative markings that were made beforehand by doctor.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT?

There will be some swelling and bruising. The eyelids will feel tight initially and it will be hard to open your eyes fully, but as the swelling goes down your eyes will open bigger until they open fully, often slightly bigger than before. You will need to apply antibiotic ointment to your eyelids for the first ten days. After this you can start wearing eye makeup and this can effectively camouflage the residual swelling and bruising so that you don’t need to wear sunglasses to conceal your eyes anymore. The effective downtime is about seven to ten days.
